Our 3 Bedroom Apartment

On April 13, 2016, we moved from our 2 bedroom apartment into a 3 bedroom apartment. We got nearly everything together and I wanted to show you photos of the inside and of our apartment from the outside. When you view the photos of the outside notice there are three floors on this side of the building and we are in the middle floor. When you look at the photos of the balcony our Master Bedroom and Master Bath are to the left. On the Balcony you see a window and a door and those come off the Living Room to go out on the balcony. The window on the right side of the balcony is the middle bedroom which is Keira's bedroom. The next window, the one in the green area to the right of Keira's bedroom window is the 3rd bedroom and it will be Nanay's bedroom when she comes to live with us again. Enjoy.

April the Cocker Spaniel

I don’t remember the exact year when my brother received April, his Cocker Spaniel, as his special doggy but I believe it was around the same time I got Lucky as my dog so I believe it was around 1995 or 1996.

Please note that the photo in this blog is not actually April as I have no photos of the real April so I had to get a photo of a blonde Cocker Spaniel off the Internet.

My brother’s wife, Carol, got April as a puppy and presented it to my brother. Since April was given to my brother in April my sister in-law Carol gave her the full name of April May June Eide. No I’m not making that up.

As everyone knows I love dogs. When my mother moved from Ohio to live with Jim and Carol and April I was thrilled to have the opportunity to fly up to see how mother was doing after her trip from Ohio and to meet April for the first time.

I was holding April on my lap and adoring her when she went to kiss me but because she was so excited she nipped at my nose and nearly bit me. My sister in-law yelled at April as follows:  APRIL MAY JUNE WHY DID YOU BITE UNCLE ANDY?

As a kid if your mother ever called you by your full name you knew you were in trouble. The same applied to April. When Carol called April by her full name April knew she was in trouble. After that April couldn’t love and kiss me enough which was fine with me as I love doggy kisses.

April Showers Bring May Flowers

I remember growing up to the saying that APRIL SHOWERS BRING MAY FLOWERS. We recited that all the times when we were kids.

Then as I got older and lived in various parts of the United States I realized that some flowers bloom in the middle of Winter in January and February and that some flowers arrive earlier than May when they bloom in March and April.

Imagine how surprise I was to find out that flowers like the Crocus, Daffodil, and others will actually poke out through the layer of snow and bloom before the weather warms up.

Don’t always believe what you hear in a story, nursery rhyme, or children’s song. Believe what you observe as you go through life.
