Making Ends Meet

Written By:  Andrew & Becx Eide

There is a term called MAKING ENDS MEET and I believe it came from the days of sailing when Sailors would have two pieces of rope and they would splice the ends of the rope together to MAKE THE ENDS MEET and create a longer piece of rope.

The term MAKING ENDS MEET also means when you get your salary, pay, etc., from work, or in Andrew's case his Military Retirement Check, to MAKE ENDS MEET means that you have enough to pay the bills, put gas in your car, and purchase food to feed your family.

Recently trying to MAKE ENDS MEET has been difficult as the ends seem to be getting farther apart. Actually we're joking about it as we are able to MAKE ENDS MEET it just happens that sometimes you end up with people, organizations, businesses, etc., making unreasonable demands on you that you are not able to meet due to having to work around your scheduled paydays and pay schedules.

Oh well we are doing the best we can and if some cannot understand that, and accommodate that, and work with us, then we will continue to do the best we can and see how it all works out.
